Child Abuse & Neglect

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families compiles annual reports on child abuse and neglect and reported that in 2014, of 42,300 Child Protective Services maltreatment reports, a total of 5,541 (12.4%) were substantiated. Many of these claims were investigated by one of the 14 child advocacies centers throughout the state of Wisconsin, including the MCAC.
