Funding

Since its inception, the sustainability of the Marshfield Child Advocacy Center (MCAC) has been made possible by the generosity of numerous local and regional businesses, agencies, and individual benefactors. The Marshfield Clinic Health System and associated agency Family Health Center of Marshfield, Inc. have provided the majority of operational support, as part of their enduring mission of providing for those in need.

The MCAC has been the direct beneficiary from individual donors as well as community fundraisers including Fore the Kids and Be a Hero 5K. These contributions are so important to the quality of the programs offered. The funds have allowed the MCAC to make major equipment purchases and upgrades; provide daily necessities such as clothing, toiletries, and educational materials to the children and caregivers who come to the center; and also allow for establishing new programming like support groups for non-offending caregivers.

In 2016, the MCAC was awarded a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant from the Wisconsin Department of Justice which has allowed the center to double staff capacity and provide additional therapeutic services.
